With reference to the Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development (or SECCYD) conducted by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), our KIT database is designed on the basis of the ecological system theory (Bronfenbrenner, 1979, 1995, 1999; Bronfenbrenner & Morris, 1998) and the life course perspective (Elder, 1998, 1999).
